Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

SCWP offers first class career opportunities to outstanding lawyers – the intellectual challenge of resolving complex problems, an internationally orientated training, stimulating work within a team of experienced specialists and the chance in one of Austria’s leading law firms. Diversity and specialisation, an international outlook, an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work within a team characterise the qualities of a trainee lawyer at SCWP.
Through our comprehensive training scheme, you will become an expert lawyer skilled in both economic and political fields of law. At SCWP clients know they will find highly qualified consultants capable of resolving complex legal issues swiftly and effectively. Skilled at adapting our products to the ever changing global market, our lawyers are more than equipped to meet the unique challenges of our clients.
SCWP offers its lawyers an attractive international work environment. The firm acts for numerous clients in foreign countries and fosters close relationships with international law firms. Working with foreign contacts and dealing with cross-border issues are part of the daily routine.
Not all of our lawyers have international experience at the beginning of their career. However, competent English and a basic knowledge of foreign law systems are indispensable.
After three years of practising, SCWP offers its lawyers the opportunity of a six month internship within a member firm of its international legal network.
SCWP is attractive to Lawyers because we offer them the chance to work autonomously within a group of supportive fellow entrepreneurial lawyers.
As a trainee, you will be encouraged to develop your own style whilst participating in collaborative decision making processes and the success of our company. Soon after starting their programme our trainees will be entrusted with personal responsibility for our clients. From the very start they learn to make decisions for themselves and, as a consequence, are better equipped to serve the clients.
A team orientated approach is essential to the way we work. Our lawyers relish the challenge of devising inspired solutions to complex problems through the sharing of knowledge and ideas. During their apprenticeship with SCWP, trainees work according to their personal and professional preferences and the requirements of our clients within several teams. In this way they are able to benefit from the individual experiences of each team member.
Typically, our trainees are assigned to one location team, one field of law team and one or more project-orientated team. According to their level of expertise and specialist know-how, our trainees gradually take over leading positions and form new teams within the company.
To be considered for employment with SCWP we require a high level of academic achievement. Juristic qualification is determined by an exemplary university record and appropriate degree. Excellent English skills are also necessary.
Promotion (Dr. iur), a second degree (such as Mag.rer.soc.oec.) or studies abroad (e.g. LL.M.) are welcome but not a requirement for employment.
Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.
